The other day i got mad at a friend,
Two years ago, together with him, as a web strategist and content manager, I made this site, Diamond Private Investment (I was also the creative director), and I was fairly payed.

Last week he asked me to prepare a landing page, always for that site. I asked for 200 Euro, then we agreed for 160 plus VAT (I still don’t have a VAT number) and I gave him the job the following week.
Here’s the result:

When he received the file my (ex) friend didn’t wanted to pay the VAT, pretending to deduct it from the 160 Euro I was supposed to receive. So I should finally receive 128 euro.
But I don’t work underpaid, and he knows it well.
I managed to control myself and not to use unpleasant words. Instead I sent him a mail warning him not to use my text.
This is the end of the story. And the beginning of remarks:
A copywriter, a graphic designer, a Webmaster, a SEO are not merchants in a suk to bargain with. They are not chain workers paid per piece.
A copywriter, a graphic designer, a Webmaster, a SEO are highly specialized technicians who supply a strong added value to one’s service trough creative work. If you are hired employees, you receive a wage. But if you are freelancing don not take this kind of impositions. If you do, you you impair our whole category.
A copywriter isn’t a plumber
. A plumber is paid much better!
